The Ragusaner

Illustration created for the fictional magazine The Ragusaner. Cover No. 05 ( There is no Ragusa without its surrounding countryside. My childhood memories are deeply connected to it, and during the years I lived outside Sicily, I constantly felt its absence grow. The dry stone walls that wind across the hills, plateaus, and through its crevices, like roots, play a leading role in telling our most recent history, our culture, and our spirit. High enough to protect, low enough to cast your gaze beyond and cross them! From these roots, today, with a leap, I reach these cows to gain a deeper understanding.
